The Beatles - John Lennon (d.1980), Paul McCartney, George Harrison (d.2001) and Ringo Starr - an incredibly rare period 1960s 8x10" black and white montage publicity photograph, autographed by all four members to the front. Signed over or to the side of their respective portraits, in blue ink, with one adding the dedication 'Best Wishes Robin'. All signed in clear and light areas. McCartney seemed to have some trouble with the ballpoint and has over-written the 'u' in Paul. Some handling marks to the photograph, and light edge wear, but no tears or folds, and should be considered in EX to EX+ condition for its age. Unframed. Autographed photographs of all four members of The Beatles from the period are considered extremely rare, and this photograph represents one of the most sought after pieces of memorabilia in the world. Provenance; a family friend of the vendor's Father was John Wall (Baron Wall) - managing director of EMI Records from 1960-1966. As a teenager the vendor's sister asked her Father if John Wall could get the autographs of the Beatles for her and her Sister. Some weeks later, two signed photographs arrived in the post. The other photograph, dedicated 'To Susan' was sold in our auction on 29.11.22.
