A large signed photographic presentation, features the famous image captured on February 14th 1972, depicting Presley pretending to box with Ali in his hotel room. Presley was a huge fan and had personally commissioned the rhinestone covered robe seen in the picture at a cost of $3000, which he had gifted to him earlier that evening. Below the main image is an original Elvis Presley publicity postcard, signed in blue ballpoint ink, together with a newspaper cutting, signed in black ink by Ali. Captioned, professionally framed and glazed. A very rare piece of memorabilia.
A collectors lot to include a modern letter rack, a brass blotter and small brass letter rack, a box containing various pens to include Parker, Ballpoint and a Parker Duofold fountain pen, a white metal propelling pencil, a small paperweight with the letters "K.N.S.M." and a Comet S camera and a cased geometry set.
A silver caddy spoon, Sheffield 1946, five various mostly souvenir teaspoons, a pair of silver sugar tongs, with bright cut engraved decoration, probably London 1802, another pair of silver sugar tongs with bright cut engraved decoration, circa 1800, a Parker steel ballpoint pen, a skewer, five mostly silver napkin rings and a set of twelve plated Oriental teaspoons, having foliate motifs.
SCHLESSER JO: (1928-1968) French motor racing Driver. Schlesser was killed during the French 1968 Grand Prix in Rouen when after only two laps at the wheel of a Honda, his car crashed sideways into a bank and fuel ignited instantly. Rare D.S., being pass ticket, “Carte Service General”, from the 24 hours of Le Mans, 20th & 21st June 1964. Signed in blue ballpoint pen to a clear area of the document. Autographs of Schlesser are rare following his tragic early death. Together with A.N., by Schlesser, on his personal visiting card the racing driver has annotated an address in Paris. With a hole to the upper part of the ticket, not affecting the signature. G, 2 £80-100
