A collection of programmes and ephemera from the Welsh Rugby Union 1969 Tour of New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, comprising of the VIP Supporters Tour itinerary, menus from The Welsh reception evening in Wellington, a printed menu for the evening of test dinner on Friday 20th June 1969 signed in ballpoint pen by both Australia and Wales, a BOAC menu from the flight, a Wales in New Zealand publication and programmes for the games against Taranaki, Otago, Wellington, New Zealand (first test), New Zealand (second test) Australia and Fiji and a scrapbook featuring press cuttings of the tour, (qty) All items are in good condition with minimum age related marks
A full set of autographs in pen of the British Isles Rugby Union team of 1971, with a tour brochure and programme from the fourth test against New Zealand featuring the signatures of some great Union names, such as Gareth Edwards, John Bevan, JPR Williams and Mervyn Davies with a total of 30 in all. There is some creasing and age related wear to the programmes, with no loose pages and the autographs are on a separate sheet numbered and in blue and black ballpoint pen. The 1971 side remain the only Lions side to have won a Test series in New Zealand.
