Exception Silver boasts a complex chiselling process truly unique to Waterman Each Ballpoint Pen receives 3 sets of 4 parallel lines that are engraved on the 4 sides of the pen. Each set has a different and unique length. Exception's quadrangular shape makes this chiselling very difficult to obtain. It is a unique chiselling, breaking away from traditional vertical chiselling. The chiselling asymmetry marries with the symmetry of the square. This unique association gives new dynamics to the pen, in contrast with standard vertically chiselled pens the market. Hallmarks are stamped on EXCEPTION cap ring, opposite of the clip. FRANCE is engraved on cap ring on the right side of the clip. Each pen has 2 Hallmarks:1 government hallmark and 1 master stamp. Government hallmark: The head of Minerva It testifies the pen is in solid silver. This hallmark is stamped by Bureau de la Garantie de Paris. Pierre Couronne had a long career as a painter and publicist painter in Paris.Passionate about drawing and painting, he went to Paris in 1946 to study at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Under the name of Pierot, he specialized in illustrations for advertisements, the most famous of which boasted the Bic ballpoint pen, Omo detergent, luxury products and many others, such as the national lottery. He also illustrated children's books. At the end of the 1970s, he chose to return to live in in Cévennes where he painted the landscapes he loved. The Prize of the President of the Republic is a horse race of mounted trotting that takes place in June at the Hippodrome de Vincennes in Paris . It's a race Group I reserved for horses of 4 years , geldings excluded, having won at least 38 000 € . It is run over the distance of 2,850 meters (long track). The allowance amounts to € 200,000 , including € 90,000 for the winner. Created on May 31, 1897in Vincennes in the presence of President Faure 1 , 2 , the race is then open to 3 and 4 year olds 3 . Subsequently run in the 1900s on the racecourse of Saint-Cloud - then temple of the French trot - and reserved for the elite of 3 years , it is replaced as such in 1924 by the Prix ??de Vincennes and becomes this year - the classic 4 year old . The 1923 edition was thus won by the 3 year old Uranie 4 , Note 1 and the 1924 edition by the 4 year old Uriel V 5 .
