* Korda (Alberto, 1928-2001). Guerrillero Heroico, 5th March 1960, gelatin silver print, later printing, signed in red ink by the photographer in wide (3.5cm) margin at foot, with later additional signed inscription in Spanish in blue ballpoint pen to from one of Che’s sons to two friends, “Para Miriam y Nicolas con el mas grande aprecio y afecto di Ernesto Guevara Lynch”, dated in Havana, 28th July 1984, no marks or inscriptions to verso, a few minor surface marks, image size 19.5 x 17.5cm. Besides the fine and unusual red signature of Korda this is additionally signed by Che’s fourth, and youngest, son by his wife Aleida March. Ernesto Guevara March (born 1965) has here used his father and grandfather’s family name of Lynch - Che’s father had noted of his son that the blood of Irish rebels flowed in his veins.. The dedicatees Nicolas and Miriam are the real names of Alberto Pedro Torriente (1954-2005) and his wife Miriam Lezcano (born 1943). Torriente was a Cuban playwright and actor whose most famous and performed play is “Manteca”. Together they founded Teatro Mio in Havana in 1987. (1)

* Ali (Muhammad & Holmes, Larry). A pair of signed seat tickets for their fight at Caesars Palace, [Las Vegas, 2nd October 1980], both tickets printed in brown “Caesars Palace Reserved” with a humorous motif and each signed and inscribed to John, one signed by Muhammad Ali and the other by Larry Holmes, a name and phone number in blue ballpoint pen to reverse of the second ticket, each 9 x 22cm. Ali retired from boxing following his Heavyweight title win against Leon Spinks in 1979, but returned in 1980 to face the current champion Larry Holmes in an attempt to win a heavyweight title an unprecedented four times. Holmes won with a technical knockout in eleven rounds. Provenance: John Rimington, see lot 300. (2)

* Fishing flies. A group of nine illustrated manuscript notebooks on fishing flies, c. 1960s/70s, one complete notebook compiled in fountain pen ink with pen and ink sketches of flies with occ. coloured pencil, the remaining volumes titled and completed alphabetically, mostly in blue ballpoint pen with sketches of flies completed with colour pencils, the manuscript entirely in ledgible block capitals throughout, occ. colour printed illusts. and text clippings tipped in, a total of approx. 1000 leaves including some blanks and many leaves written to rectos only, contemp. linen-backed boards, all but one with manuscript labels pasted to covers, a little rubbed, oblong 8vo, plus a small folder of related A4 photocopies. Titles include Standard Flies (Dry and Wet), Standard Trout Flies, Nymphs, Lures, Hairwings and Tube Flies, Tube Flies & Waddington Shanks. (10)
The Beatles Autographs, Early 1960`s Autograph Book Compiled by the Vendor who was an Avid Fan, containing a Sheet signed in Red Ballpoint Pen `Love to Stephanie from the Beatles, John Lennon xxx, Paul McCartney, George Harrison xx All is forgiven!, Ringo Starr xx`, also a Small Drawing of a Beetle in Red Ballpoint Pen Drawn by John Lennon by which the Vendor wrote `John wrote the Beatle`. With these is a Ticket Stub from the ABC Cinema, Blackpool for Sunday, September 8 which she has written above `Last Blackpool show` and describes seeing the Beatles as they left the theatre, and a Postmark dated 30 August 1963. The Vendor wrote to John Lennon apologising for pulling his hair at the ABC, a Few Strands of this hair is contained in an envelope with the autograph book. Also in the book are autographs of The Hollies, Manfred Mann and Gerry(Marsden) 3 times, with Ticket Stub for his show at the Queen`s Theatre, Sept. 22, 1963, and descriptions of the Vendors meeting him, plus many others including the name and address of George Harrison`s friend and Gerry Marsden`s van driver at the time Arthur James Kelly. The entire book is a snapshot of an early 1960`s teenage fan`s social life and is provenance in itself.
A ladies square powder compact, with scroll engraved decoration and a similar comb in a case, a Caran D`Ache ballpoint pen, cased, two ladies powder compacts, four various wristwatches, a 1951 crown with the original box, two Elizabeth II crowns, a Roman bronze small coin, various British and foreign coins, a medallion cased, a bottle opener, a cigar cutter, part of a spoon and four items of flatware.
* Adams (Richard, b. 1920). Autograph manuscript and typescript of a short story entitled 'Argos', early 1990s, the manuscript 8 pp. on ruled A4 paper with crossings out and corrections, the typescript 6 pp. single sided A4 with ballpoint pen corrections, together with a typed letter signed from Adams to Selina, 17th January 1995, 'Will this do? It is the holograph and first typescript of a story I wrote a little while ago as my contribution to an anthology which "The Guardian" produced, consisting of news stories all by Guardian Award winners. I've always had a soft spot for this story and I hope you will like it... , most people don't know about Odysseus's dog in "The Odyssey" and how he recognized his master when he turned up in disguise after being away for twenty years', with a holographed initialled postscript, 1 p., 4to. Provenance: Sotheby's, 17 December 1996, lot 208, sold on behalf of the Royal Society of Literature. (3)
* Tennant (Stephen James Napier, 1906-87 ). A group of autograph letters, poems and drawings, various dates, a total of fifteen pages on nine leaves, including an autograph letter signed 'Stephen Tennant', Willsford Manor, 16th November 1951, to Mr Atherton, 'Do you, by chance, know of a seashell swag border - which I could put in my white and gold and apricot dining room? Corals if possible with seashells & rope - or cords - or drapery. I make this drawing just to suggest what I am seeking... ', 2 pp. in brown ink with pen and ink drawing to recto and verso with yellow watercolour highlights, 8vo, plus six octavo sheets with blue felt tip drawings of figures to rectos, one showing English soldiers, one of Jack from the merchant navy (with black watercolour), one of a French matelot at Toulon, two of a man's head smoking a pipe and one showing three images of Gloria Swanson(?) ('For Cecil Beaton 1974'), all but one with notes in Tennant's holograph, and four with poems to verso titled 'There is no Sin except Anger', 'The Eternal Paradox', Autumn - For Virginia', and 'Slowly Turn to Magic Things', in blue or purple felt tip in the author's holograph, each sheet approx. 23 x 18 cm or similar, plus a larger fragment of a watercolour showing a Moroccan-style villa with notes in Tennant's holograph, approx. 47 x 30 cm, plus one further blue ballpoint pen sketch possibly by Tennant in old age (9)
