*Yeats (William Butler, 1865-1939). Autograph letter signed 'W.B. Yeats', Thornhill, Sligo, Ireland, 1am, 3rd January [1895], to [Herbert Percy] Horne, 'I shall contribute with pleasure and let you have something in about a week. I have nothing suitable by me as I have been busy with a long poem but will soon write something...' and ending with a mention of a story he is doing for [W.E.] Henley, recipient's name and address and date of receipt written in space to right margin, possibly by Horne himself, 1 page, 8vo, later note in blue ballpoint pen to verso In 1895 Yeats was working on 'Poems', published later that year. The story he refers to may have been 'Wisdom'. Herbert Percy Horne (1864-1916) was an English poet, architect, typographer and designer, art historian and antiquarian. He was a member of the Rhymers' Club with W.B. Yeats, Arthur Symons, Ernest Dowson, and others. (1)

Together with a lot comprising a Nino Cerruti ballpoint pen, a combination pen & lighter and three pens. Includes four Parker cases and papers.
A large signed photographic presentation, features the famous image captured on February 14th 1972, depicting Presley pretending to box with Ali in his hotel room. Presley was a huge fan and had personally commissioned the rhinestone covered robe seen in the picture at a cost of $3000, which he had gifted to him earlier that evening. Below the main image is an original Elvis Presley publicity postcard, signed in blue ballpoint ink, together with a newspaper cutting, signed in black ink by Ali. Captioned, professionally framed and glazed. A very rare piece of memorabilia. 55x65cm.
