Andy Warhol (Amer.1928-1987)-Flowers, 1970, screenprint in colours on wove paper, the full sheet 36 x 36” (91.5cm2), signed in ballpoint pen and stamp numbered verso 82/250, from the portfolio published by Factory Editions, New York Andy Warhol is the artist most associated with Pop Art, and was dubbed by the media the ‘Prince of Pop’. He held his first one-man show in 1952 and was part of an important group exhibition at the museum of Modern Art, New York in 1956. He founded The Factory in 1962 and quickly became a household name due to his mass production of depictions of familiar ‘mass produced’ items.
