An ivory sector, a silver novelty ballpoint, and a three-colour pencil English and German, mid-19th century and later : Moritz Pillischer folding ivory sector engraved on all four faces, engraved in various scales including a 12-inch rule excellent; a hallmarked 1982 silver walking stick ballpoint, with folding handle to operate the mechanism and gold collar excellent, and a blackened brass flattened three-collar pencil.
Cricket bat. Full-size bat made by M.C.C. Company Ltd., signed to the flat-side by the members of the English and Australian teams at the 1st test, June 11-16, 1953, all signed in ballpoint pens, some a little faded, signatures include A.L. Hassett, A.R. Morris, R. Benaud, W.A. Johnston, G.B. Hole, D. Tallon, J.C. Hill, R.R. Lindwall, Len Hutton, A.V. Bedser, T.E. Bailey, Denis Compton, J.H. Wardle, D.J. Kenyon, T.W. Graveney, P.B.H. May, R. Tattersall, R.T. Simpson, T.G. Evans, and a few others, plus the signatures of the teams of Gloucestershire and the Duke of Beaufort XI to the back. A stirring test that England should have won but the last two days were blighted by rain and the match ended in a draw. England went on to win the ashes for the first time since 1932/33. (1)

The Beatles and Roy Orbison A rare illustrated concert programme from a Sunday Night Special, Blackpool, 1963 starring the Beatles, Roy Orbison and Gerry and the Pacemakers, signed in blue ballpoint pen by Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr next to the star portraits, also signed by Roy Orbison, Gerry Marsden, Freddy Marsden, Les Chadwick and Les Maguire [The Pacemakers], Louise Cordet, David Macbeth and Ian Crawford using various pens, programme creased at centre, through some of the signatures, front cover with 5cm tear at top Note: These autographs were aquired by the vendor herself when she met the band after the show in 1963.

He is also known as a writer, producing monographs on L.S. Lowry, the book 'Painter's Progress' and 'Reflections In A Broken Mirror'.

Kennedy with children Caroline, John Jr. and their pony Macaroni, [22nd June 1962],. 7.5" x 9.5" (19 x 24 cm), mounted with signed presentation inscription dated December 25, 1962 from Jacqueline Kennedy, 'For dear Miss Shaw with love from us all and the deepest appreciation always', with autograph signature of (President) John Kennedy also in ink beneath, the childish signature and kisses of Caroline in ballpoint pen and an infant squiggle in ballpoint pen identified [by Jackie?] as John Jr.'s mark, framed and glazed with desk stand Caroline Kennedy's pony, Macaroni, was a present from then Vice President Lyndon Johnson.
