An unusual mid 1930's Art Deco German metal alarm clock, the square face set with stylised Arabic numerals and pentagonal subsidiary alarm dial, stamped "Salvos", with square bells and carrying handle, height 15cm, a small cuckoo clock decorated with carved leaves, the circular chapter ring with Roman numerals, height 25cm, and a small oak mantel timepiece, height 18cm (3).

An Early Civil War Period Brass Striking Lantern Clock, unsigned, mid-17th century and later, turned finials and bearing the lion and unicorn pierced frets, side opening doors, 6-1/4-inch Roman numeral chapter ring, centre with floral engraving, single hand, four posted weight driven movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a top mounted bell, 39cm high 12.06.15, Brass surfaces are faded and nicely aged, later pierced frets, single hand is rusty, underside of the ball shaped feet are missing, alarm work missing, converted from balance wheel to anchor escapement, back panel missing, with a weight and a pendulum.
A Regency Satinwood Striking Alarm Table Clock, John Barwise, St, Martins Lane, London, arched case with a triple pad top, side carrying handles and fish scale sound frets, bracket shaped feet, 7-1/2-inch enamel dial with Arabic numerals, central alarm hand, strike/silent lever above 12, twin fusee movement with hour and alarm striking on a bell, backplate inscribed John Barwise, London in an engraved oval cartouche, 43cm high 16.06.15, Case is faded throughout, later front door with a visible gap around the dial surround when the door is closed, wooden dial surround with cracks, some veneers are lifting and lacking in parts, small cracks, dial edge with a minor hairline crack and a small chip at 12 and 2 o'clock positions, movement is dirty, in going order, strike and alarm are working.

Benson, Old Bond St, London, subsidiary alarm dial beneath, movement numbered 33219 with lever platform, striking on two gongs in a gorge case, the alarm bell in the base, also selector lever for full striking / silence / striking, 6in (15cm) high.

An enamel carriage clock with alarm, striking movement numbered 2544, replaced lever platform, the porcelain dial with white numeral reserves and annular subsidiary alarm dial against multicoloured decoration, the canelle case with multicoloured champleve enamel throughout including top panel and handle, 5.75in (14.5cm) high.
A Charles II striking lantern clock, the tulip engraved dial signed above the alarm setting disc James Burputt in Bristoll fecit 1679, slender chapter ring, pierced and engraved lion and unicorn frets, the movement originally balance wheel but now anchor escapement, in a case of typical construction with particularly well turned finials, alarm train and backplate removed, 16.5in (42cm) high. Provenance: A private collection in the Cotswolds.
