A travel alarm clock by Jaeger-LeCoultre, the circular silvered dial with gilt baton markers and centre seconds hand, with black enamel outer chapter ring, two colour mounted, the case numbered 930716, dial and winders signed, accompanied by travel pouch, case diameter 4.15cmSurface wear and light spotting to dial. Surface wear, scuffs and nicks to case, with patchy wear to the gilt finish and some deeper scuffs to rim, at base. The movement runs when wound and the hands/alarm feature can be set. The alarm seems to function intermittently and may require repair. The case has not been opened and the movement has not been viewed. Full working order and originality of the moevement has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed. Metal standard is unknown but elements of the case are plated. Gross weight approximately 28.4gm.

Holingue frères, a French carriage clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with push repeat to sound the last hour at will, and with alarm, the backplate stamped with the serial number 204 and within with the initials H.L. for the blanc roulant maker Holingue frères of Saint Nicolas d'Aliermont and numbered 6689, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, a subsidiary alarm dial and blued steel moon hands, the Corniche variant case with a three-bale handle, height 15.5cm handle up, 13cm handle down.* Biography Jean-Francois and the younger Louis Holingue worked in the clockmaking town of Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont as Holingue frères, with the trademark initials H.L. stamped to the frontplate of each movement, and manufactured the blancs roulant, (rough movements) for a number of well-known makers such as Paul Garnier, Athanase Bourdin and Bolviller. The brothers sold their workshops and equipment to Alfred Drocourt in 1875, having been the main supplier to Drocourt since 1854, the year Pierre Drocourt founded the business.
