However, I did catalogue this clock originally and have been keeping it running and it does seem to keep quite good time. It has lost two minutes in a week. The chimes appear to be working all fine. Please note there is no guarantee on time keeping though.

The dial is mis shapen at the VI o'clock, perhaps a cause of being dropped? The dial foot river is now showing as a consequence. Sympathetic restoration is required. One of the painted metal side panels is missing.

Condition Report The clock is in original un restored condition. Overall the case has a cracqueler. Marks and knocks consistent with age. The front right hand foot has been broken and repaired and currently is 'bandaged'! Pediment has a chip to decoration on top leftThe movement is dirty and requires a service. The dial has surface dirt. Some small star cracks and chips, see additional images.The terminals to the bracket and pediment each have a hole for a finial ? now lost.
A Cartier 'colisee' quartz travel alarm clock, circa 1998, white dial with Roman numerals, to a gilt metal case with folding stand, with original Cartier box, papers and outer box, 9cm x 8cm, together with a Cartier gold plated and red laque de chine handled magnifying glass, with original Cartier box. (2) Condition Report The clock is in good condition throughout, the hands and alarm hand both set correctly, the movement is not running and most likely requires a new battery, the outer card box has some tears and stains. The magnifying glass is also in good condition with light scratches, the case has what appears to be an ink stain the the lid. The reverse of the clock is not scratched this is just the finish.

Technik: Nussbaum und Zedernholz poliert, eingelegt und tlw. geschnitzt. Vergoldetes Zifferblatt mit versilbertem Ziffernkranz. Beschreibung: Dreiteiliges elegant geschwungenes Gehäuse mit seitlichen Lisenen und hohem geschwungenem Gesims. Die Lisenen mit Voluten verziert. In Feldern durch Bänder gerahmte Würfelparkettierung. Das Zifferblatt mit römischen Ziffern und arabischer Minuterie, zentrale Weckerscheibe, kleine Sekunde unterhalb der XII, seitlich je eine Einstellung für schlagt, schlagt nicht und spielt, spielt nicht. Im Bogenfeld Einstellung für zwölf Melodien. Achttagewerk mit Viertelstundenschlag auf Glocke. Das Spielwerk mit Walze und Schlag auf vierzehn Glocken mit insgesamt zwölf verschiedenen Melodien. Maße: 277x64x37cm. Marke: Das Uhrwerk bezeichnet Jacob Möllinger Neustadt. Technique: Nutwood and cedarwood polished and laid-in and in parts with carvings. Gilt clock face with silver plated dial. Description: Elegantly curved case, segmented in three parts with lateral lesenes and high, curved cornice. The lesenes decorated with volutes. Fields of block parquetry framed by ribbons. The dial with Roman numbers and Arabic minute markers, central alarm clock dial, small second under the XII, lateral each a setting for strike, no strike and activating and not activating the chime. Over the dial settings for twelve different melodies. Eight-day movement with quarter hour strike on chime. The musical mechanism with cylinder and chime on fourteen bells, with a total of twelve different melodies. Measurement: 277x64x37cm. Mark: The clockwork inscribed 'Jacob Möllinger Neustadt'. The clock offered here certainly marks a highlight in the oevre of Jacob Möllinger, clockmaker at the palatine court. The case, which is reminiscent of furniture designs by Mainz ebonists, can with great probability be attributed to the Mannheim court ebonist Ferdinand Zeller. It is very likely that this extraordinary and important longcase clock was commissioned for the elector Karl Theodor. Brass rimmed convex glass door and 9cm diameter bell housed on top of wooden case. In full working order and keeps good time. Case approx. 29cm diameter.
