A taxidermy stuffed and mounted Rudd in naturalistic setting and verre eglomise bow-fronted glazed display case, inscribed "Rudd - 2lbs 3½ ozs. One of nine similar. Taken by G R Croxford. Torcross. July 16th 1928" and bearing paper label "Preserved by J Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor Street St. Luke's London EC"
Ca.300 AD. A rare Large bronze P-shaped bow brooch with one knows to the head, deep bow, tapering foot with a return to the reverse and large spring with extended chord inside the bow. Good Condition; missing pin; Cf. Hattatt, R. Brooches of Antiquity, Oxford, 1987 D:150mm/L:125mm; 88g; Provenance: From an old British collection, acquired on the UK art market in the 1980s.
A pair of Art Deco style painted plaster wall masks, each in the form of a lady in tartan hat and bow, 17cm; together with various other Art Deco style wall plaques to include Chelsea Works, Burslem etc (9)Condition: Three have Morlands stamps, one stamped L&Sons Ltd, this one is heavily crazed, otherwise all good-very good.
Two modern bronze sculptures of winged putti, cast in the Baroque style, one holding a flaming torch, the other a bow, each standing on a celestial globe divided by a meridian banner with emblems of the Zodiac, the sides with stars, scrolling wave socle, and raised on circular marble pedestal base, each 50cm high. Johnson 30th June 1943'' This case is by William Griggs who took over the running of John Cooper from around 1933 and carried on trading from Bath Road, Hounslow until he passed away in 1953, William (Bertie) Griggs was regarded as one of the master exponents of preserving fish and his skills can be clearly seen within this case
