The arms raised on four further spindles and curved front supports. The D-shaped seat above cabriole legs joined by a baluster turned H-form stretcher & terminating on pad feet.
A Splendid Harlequin Set of Eight 19th Century Yew-wood Pad-arm Windsor Chairs. The tall hoop backs having upper & lower fretted 'Christmas tree' splats flanked by eight stick spindles leading down to the arm bow with six well turned under-arm supports and outswept pad terminals. The seats raised on baluster legs united by stretchers.
A German viola, circa 1972, the interior bearing label inscribed 'Klaus Schlegel, Geigenbaumeister, Earlbach i.V.1972', with two-piece back, length of back excluding button approx 40cm, together with a violin by the same maker, circa 1970, length of back excluding button approx 36.2cm, and another violin, all cased, with a single bow and a double viola and violin case.
