1939-1945 German Third Reich, Kriegsmarine Blockade Breaker's badge, silver and grey. An approaching grey coloured Merchant ship at sea with a silver eagle and swastika on the bow breaking a circular silver binding chain. Maker marked 'Fec. Otto Placzek Berlin Ausf. Schwerin Berlin' with flat leaf-shaped pin. A very good used example retaining most of the original silver and grey finish. 2in. (5.08cm)
Stone Bow: An c1700 Hunting 'Stone Bow'. These crossbows fired a stone or a baked clay ball instead of a quarrel and were used for hunting birds in the main. They were obsolete by 1800. A fine double barrelled flintlock gun from the property of the noble family Ruffo from Calabria dating: circa 1800 provenance: Southern Italy Round, smooth, 14 mm cal. barrels with squared and twisted base; rib; Naples stamps among gold lilies at the base; foresight; signed "PIERRE KENZE"; engraved tang with sight; flintlock with round plate; wooden half stock sculpted around the tang and covered withleather at the butt, decorated with filigree and floral motifs, featuring a pendant under the barrels, resembling the coat of arms of the Ruffo family from Calabria; beautiful, steel mounts, finely engraved and carved with floral motifs, butt-plate with trophy, silver shield with monogram "JR" engraved with flowers and featuring a bow at the back. Missing ramrod. Of very good condition, small missing parts only at the filigree. dimensions: length 126.5 cm.
A target tufenk with silver stamps dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Turkey Octagonal, rifled, 13 mm cal. barrel with remains of antique finishing, decorated with four, silver rings in-relief, provided with copper foresight and adjustable rear-sight; a deeply marked stamp at the base, with Arabic writings and surmounted by a crown with five pearls and lined with silver; featuring another stamp, with silver lining, depicting bow and arrows; both of them surrounded by lilies. Flintlock with spring carved with notches. Long, briar-root stock, with squared butt. Brass mounts, iron ramrod. dimensions: length 117,6 cm.
