A BRITISH 1803 PATTERN LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD (SABRE) the 73.5cm curved blade etched with 'GR' cypher, garter badge, trophies of war and foliate decoration, retaining some original gilding, the back edge unmarked and unnumbered, the brass hilt with a pierced foliate knuckle-bow incorporating 'GR' cypher, a wire-bound ivory grip, and a lion's head pommel, in a brown leather scabbard with brass mounts, overall 87.5cm long.
A VICTORIAN COURT SWORD by Johnstone, the 80cm straight polished blade etched with foliate decoration and marked above the ricasso 'J.B. / Johnstone / Dawson St. / Dublin / & / London', the brass hilt with a down-turned scallop shell guard with applied 'VR' cypher within a clover leaf wreath, d-shaped knuckle-bow, wire-bound grip and crown pommel, in a black leather scabbard with brass mounts and suspension rings, overall 95cm long.

An Edwardian brass fender, bow form. CONDITION REPORT: This has been cut into three pieces presumably in order to fit an aperture, a particular aperture. Approx 8.5 ins has been cut at an angle from each end. We have the pieces. The fender width at the back is 52 ins with the end sections attached. The condition is generally good however the fender is very dirty. The end sections are less tarnished than the centre section which has clearly seen more use.
A pair of Scottish Provincial silver sugar tongs by Robert Keay & Son, Perth, circa 1825 (working 1825/1839), (double-headed eagle, "R & R K", double-headed eagle) with shell grips, the top of bow crisply engraved with crest coronet of an upright arm clasping aloft a scimitar, issuing from a baron's coronet (in the Scottish peerage a baron is a Lord of Parliament), 14.7 cm. long, wt. 58 gm.In fine condition, virtually as new with crisp marks and engraving.
LARGE EARLY 20TH CENTURY WOODEN POND YACHT 'THE IPOH', labelled: '18 footer S.M.Y.C.'. The hull of planked construction and appearing to have two sets of masts and yards with canvas sails, weighted keel and operating rudder assembly on a fitted wooden, wheeled base. (S.M.Y.C. - possibly Solent Model Yacht Club). Including handwritten notes regarding scale dimensions of the boat, headed 'Solent Yacht Club' and dated: 1921. The hull measuring 136cm without bow sprit.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The sails are appearing poor and pretty rotten, the yards appearing useable with bone running blocks, the hull itself worn and aged but appearing good. LARGE VICTORIAN INLAID WALNUT CREDENZA having overall gilt metal foliate mounts with painted porcelain panels in the Sevres style, glazed bow front centre cabinet with single shelf to the interior with two serpentine glazed end cabinets revealing two shelves to the interior on a shaped platform base with foliate metal mounts. 199 x 56 x 116cm high.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Very grubby, dirty condition, one serpentine end glass is broken, all metal mounts seem to be in place, although a number appear loose, minor splitting to veneers and wear and tear commensurate with age in places. Old ink stains noted to the top.
EARLY 20TH CENTURY GEORGIAN STYLE MAHOGANY BOW FRONT DOUBLE WARDROBE, having moulded dentil cornice over two blind panelled doors, hanging rail and hooks to the interior, above a strapwork frieze with bracket feet. 137 x 58 x 204cm, approx.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Originally part of a bedroom suite, overall in good condition, minor scuffs and wear commensurate with age, some old worming noted to the back.
VINTAGE 1920'S WEDDING/COURT OUTFIT MADE BY LOYSE COURT DRESSMAKER & MILLINER, 11 Princes St, Hanover Square. Comprises dress, sheer shrug/jacket, cape, shoes and beaded veil. Cream silk and lace empire line full length beaded court/wedding dress. With lace detailing around the collar and sleeves and in the underskirt. The silk bodice has a shell shaped neckline with a sheer lace and beaded panel underneath. There are pearls and beading around the collar and sleeves. The dress has cap lace sleeves with short sheer silk sleeves underneath. The dress fastens with eyelets and hooks down the back of the corset and down the side of the dress. There is a beaded waistband with a loose beaded panel hanging down and beading around the bottom of the dress. There is a label in the dress as described above. The underskirt of the dress is lace and silk with beading. There is a label in the dress as described above. Measurements taken with the dress flat: shoulders: 35cm, waist 33cm, hips 51cm, length 143cm (with 13cm train at back) approximately. Two cream silk covered court shoes with bow at front. Leather inners and soles. They have the numbers: 38, 4 and 3 on the bottom. Measurements: length: 25.5cm and width at widest point 7.5cm approximately. Long pale green silk cape with lace collar edged with blue and pink silk and similar squares around a lace covered button and fabric loop. Also fastens with eyelets and hoops along the front. The cape is made in three panels and the back panel is the largest and fastens around the front two panels by button. The garment has the label described above and is lined in sheer pale green silk. The two back panels are connected by green silk covered milliners tape. Measurements taken with garment laid flat: length 127cm and width at waist when fastened 58cm approximately. Sheer pale grey silk short sleeved jacket edged with beading and having a beaded waistband/belt. Fastens with three hooks and eyelets at the end of the beaded waistband. Measurements taken with garment flat: shoulder: 40cm, waist 30cm when fastened, width at bottom 50cm and length 90cm approximately. Geometrically patterned beaded net veil with pale pink silk bow sewn in which has wax snowdrops at the centre and a beaded tassel at the other end. There are pearls in the tassel and in the edging around it. Lace and ruched netting along the rest of the edge. Measurements: 235cm long and 123cm wide approximately. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Dress: Staining to skirt of dress especially at the front. Some bead loss generally. Hole in the front beaded panel near the top. Lace and silk of sleeves and around the shoulders very damaged. Silk lining the inner bodice of the dress very damaged. Generally quite poor condition. Shoes: silk at sides badly damaged (particularly left shoe). Generally in poor condition. Cape: Staining to the back of the main panel. Lace collar has holes in it/quite badly damaged. Smaller amount of damage to lace around the button/loop fastening. Button is loose. Lining badly damaged near the top of garment. Silk is coming off milliners tape. Silk shrug/jacket: Generally in fair condition considering age. Some slight staining and small holes around the collar area. Some loose/missing beads especially around the fastening. Veil: Fabric very delicate but largely intact in the centre of the veil. Significant damage to the edging. Some pearls are missing from the tassel and the edging around it. Bow coming off netting on one side. Wax flowers are slightly damaged.
