A STONEBOW BY WARD, WARRINGTON, CIRCA 1820 with slender steel bow (string missing), figured walnut tiller with chequered grip (small cracks), fitted with a pair of shaped steels, steel acorn finial, sprung folding fore-sight, steel gaffle fitted with signed engraved folding back-sight, trigger-guard with acorn finial, and butt-cap numbered `520` (the steel parts patinated) 79.5cm; 31 1/4in tiller James Ward is recorded as a gun and crossbow maker in Warrington, Lancashire, circa 1813-28.

**A CASED 32 BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING PISTOL BY HARVEY WALKLATE MORTIMER & SON, GUNMAKERS TO HIS MAJESTY, NO. 89 FLEET STREET, LONDON, NO. 1198, CIRCA 1808-16 with heavy browned twist octagonal sighted barrel signed in full on the flat, inlaid with a gold line at the breech, platinum vent, engraved grooved tang incorporating the back-sight, signed engraved lock decorated with a trophy on the tail, fitted with `French` cock, bolt safety-catch, semi-rain proof pan, roller and detent, set trigger, figured walnut half-stock (fore-end chipped), saw-handled chequered butt (cracked through), engraved steel case-hardened trigger-guard, with address in a trophy-of-arms oval on the bow and pineapple finial, inset with an engraved blued steel cap on the butt, vacant silver escutcheon opposite the lock, silver barrel bolt escutcheons and silver fore-end cap, horn-tipped wooden ramrod with steel worm, and some original finish: in its original fitted mahogany case (the pair missing) lined in green baize, the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle, with trade label for 1808-16 25.5cm; 10in barrel See footnote to lot 340.
An Edwardian silver desk compendium, by Collett & Anderson, Birmingham 1927, of engine turned rectangular form with central foliate bow surmount and easel back, the central attached thermometer flanked by plated clock and barometer, the dials inscribed Harrods Ltd., initialled to easel, 10.5 x 15.5cm, in fitted case CONDITION REPORT: Case worn. Small knocks. Dials discoloured. Surrounds of dials were plated and this has rubbed off. Dent to one corner.
An 18ct gold open faced pocket watch and Albert chain, the watch 48mm diameter, with a hand engraved gold dial, raised Roman numerals and blued Breguet empire hands. Hand engraved foliate decoration to the back case with vacant cartouche. Case no. 88256, movement signed Rotherham and Sons, London, movement no. 88256, hallmarked 18ct gold London 1854. Suspended on an 18ct gold curb link Albert chain, with replacement 9ct gold swivel clip and jump rings. CONDITION REPORT: Bow very worn. Case very dirty. Glass very scratched. Back case very worn. Some movement at the hinges, shuts tightly but with an even gap.
An 18ct gold key wound open faced pocket watch, cream enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt spade hands and blued second hand, case diameter 51mm, plain escutcheon to the back cover, Chester 1876, movement no. 3750, case no. 3750 CONDITION REPORT: Bow worn. Surface marks to the case, dents to the back cover. Hairline cracks to the dial at 3 and 6 Two very small tears to the back case, at either side of the hinge.
A gold Swiss fob watch with hand engraved gold dial, the watch 27mm diameter, with engraved floral dial, black Roman numerals and blued spade hands. Hand engraved and engine turned back case with vacant cartouche, case no. 7513, marked K18, Swiss mark for 18ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Slight wear to the bow. Some loss of enamel to the numerals. Some small dents to the case sides. A tear to the chenier of the hinge of the back case. Lots of movement because of this. Shallow dents to the back case.
An 18ct gold half hunter fob watch, c.1860, blue enamelled Roman numeral chapter ring to the front cover, with a white enamel dial, subsidiary seconds dial with blued double spade hands. Case 40mm diameter with crest and motto 'Je suis prest' hand engraved to the back cover. Movement signed Arthur J Fraser 1864. Case no. 1129, hallmarked London 1863. The crest is possibly that of the clan Fraser CONDITION REPORT: Bow worn. Very fine hairline to the dial between 5 and 6. Light surface wear to the case.

Three colour gold repoussé bezel and case, decorated with a ribbon, bow, flowers and leaves. Case 27mm diameter, case no. 12161. French little guarantee mark, 1838-1919 CONDITION REPORT: Pendant tarnished. Winds and ticking. Scratch or crack to the glass at 4. Some gold parts.

Dennison case, Birmingham 1923, dial possibly restored CONDITION REPORT: Bow worn. Surface wear to the case. Marks under the glass, possibly from the hands. Shallow dents to the case. Winds and tricking. 93.6g Approx.
