An early 19th century mahogany and satinwood crossbanded bow front sideboard, the reeded breakfront top above a boxwood and ebony strung drawer enclosing a cutlery drawer over an arched apron flanked by a cupboard and a deep drawer and raised on six round tapering legs, 186cm wide x 65cm deep x 94cm high
A mahogany serpentine fronted desk, with green tooled leather writing surface and fitted with three frieze drawers and three further drawers to each pedestal, all raised on bracket feet. Width 121.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Depth at front of bow 56 cm, depth at sides 53.5 cm. The tooled leather writing surface is in generally very good order with only minor scratches and stains. It is perfectly serviceable. The crossbanded edge surround is in good order. There is a small piece of veneer missing just above the front right hand corner of the top left drawer. All drawer fronts are in good condition with only minor surface marks. All cockbeading is present. The sides are in very good order. All feet are original and have minor scuffs to the sharp edges. The rear of the desk is in good order with no issues. There is a very small veneer loss just beneath the bottom left and right hand corners of the bottom left drawer. All issues are really very minor.
Two Chinese carved wood deities, early 20th century, one holding a branch of peaches, the other with a fly whisk and Ruyi sceptre, both with inset bone teeth, 39 cm and 40 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The figure holding the Ruyi sceptre has a large split from the centre of his head down to his neck. There is a further age split to the front torso, approximately 8 cm long. A further large age split to the rear of his left shoulder issuing down to his waist. A further fine split to the bottom section of his robe, approximately 6 cm in length. The base also has age splits. There is a crack and a small chip where the fly whisk joins the staff. One eye is intact while the other is missing its infill. There are small chips to the edge of his robes. There is a 1 cm section of the base missing. The figure with the branch of peaches is missing both inset eyes,has a 14 cm age crack issuing from his elbow down to his knee and a further 9 cm crack from the bow in his robe down to the base of his robe. There are splits to the base.
