A mixed group of bronze brooches comprising: a gilt disc brooch; an enamelled lozenge plate brooch; a plate brooch with conical glass insert; an enamelled headstud brooch; a rosette brooch; four dolphin bow brooches; an Aesica type bow brooch. Ex Kelway collection; formed between 1975 and 2015; found Lincolnshire, UK, prior to a Time Team dig on an important Iron Age and Roman site. 134 grams total, 33-59mm (1 1/4 - 2 1/4"). 5th-6th century AD. A bronze bow brooch comprising: D-shaped headplate with radiating knops to the outer edge, incised hatching, shallow ribbed bow, loop lappets, lozengiform footplate with hatched panels, beast-head finial, pin-lug and catchplate to the reverse. Property of a German collector; acquired in the 1990s. 26 grams, 81mm (3 1/4"). [No Reserve] Very fine condition.

A mixed group of brooches comprising: a plate brooch with four radiating horse-heads, hinged pin and catchplate to the reverse; a small bronze fibula; a bronze bow brooch with D-shaped headplate, spring, pin and catchplate to the reverse. 19th century AD. A light hunting crossbow with wooden stock, iron trigger and guard; iron bow arms with lateral guards in the body, hooks for attachment of bowstring; mounted on a custom made stand. Property of an American lady; acquired 1970s-1990s. 5 kg total, 89 x 91cm including stand (35 x 35 3/4"). [No Reserve] Fair condition; stock split, some worm damage.

A quantity of metal-detector finds comprising: a discoid plate brooch with central cell; a bronze ring bezel with socket; a gilt-bronze ring bezel with inset glass intaglio (partly absent); an S-shaped bronze belt closure; a bronze pendant with nail-cleaner; a bronze pin with knop finial; a brooch pin with swan-neck; a balance arm with loop finial and ribbed collars; a bronze duck figure; a pelta-shaped bronze mount; a silver wire bracelet; nineteen bow brooches and parts of various types including dolphin, T-shaped, fantail and others. Found Exton, Rutland, UK, early 1990s. 226 grams total, 20-69mm (3/4 - 2 3/4"). [30, No Reserve] Mainly fine condition.

A mixed group comprising: three gilt-bronze harness strap distributors, domed with radiating points, cage to the reverse; a square silver-gilt plaque with rivets and loops; a silver buckle tongue; a silver buckle; a silver round-section ingot; six bronze buckles; a small silver bow brooch; a bronze bow brooch with radiating knops; a bronze bow brooch with triangular headplate; a gilt-bronze teardrop openwork plaque. Property of an Austrian gentleman; acquired before 1990. 264 grams total, 19-81mm (3/4 - 3 1/4"). [17, No Reserve] Mainly fine condition.

A mixed group comprising: a cruciform bow brooch; a lead strap end with Winchester Style detailing; a bow brooch footplate with catchplate to the reverse; two horse-head finials; two brooch bows; a small-long brooch headplate; two bronze strap ends; a stud with concentric rings; three collared studs from bow brooches; three ball-headed dress pin fragments; a disc-headed dress pin fragment; a harness mount with four pierced lugs; a domed fitting; an openwork stirrup mount. Ex Kelway collection; formed between 1975 and 2015; found Lincolnshire, UK, prior to a Time Team dig on an important Iron Age and Roman site. The cruciform brooch recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference number LIN-3B4676; the stirrup mount recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference number LIN-A2E242; both accompanied by a print out of the PAS report. 171 grams total, 8-110mm (1/4 - 4"). A mixed group comprising: a bronze Roman bow brooch; four fragments of a blue glass bracelet; two domed buttons with enamel ornament; an openwork harness pendant; a bronze finger ring with heart-shaped bezel; a chessman seal matrix; a dress pin with hollow globular head; two bronze crucifixion plaques; six lead cross pendants. Property of an American collector; acquired 1980-2000. 134 grams total, 21-95mm (3/4 - 3 3/4"). [19, No Reserve] Fine condition.
9th-15th century AD. A mixed group of bronze items comprising: a bow brooch with red enamel panel to the footplate; a tubular bead; a domed square mount; a group of patrices including six scrolled designs, three lentoid, four domed, four rectangular with scrolls, one equal-arm cross, one pyramidal, two square with baluster knop, one a dished disc, one a ribbed bar, one piriform, one a domed octagon, one a bar with scalloped sides, two with openwork loops. From an old Munich collection; acquired on the German art market before 2000. 141 grams total, 7-50mm (1/4 - 2"). [31, No Reserve] Fine condition.
A lot to include a 9ct yellow gold three stone sapphire ring, set with four diamond accents, hallmarked for Birmingham with CCM, ring size O½, an 18ct yellow gold sapphire and diamond tiered flower head ring, hallmarked London 1975, ring size N½, (A/F one stone missing), a yellow metal purple paste ring, the central rectangular cut purple paste flanked to either side with bow motifs to each shoulder, stamped 9ct, ring size M, along with a yellow metal pearl set ring, stamped 9ct, ring size L½, total weight approx. 10.3g, (4).
A stuffed and mounted Pike, in naturalistic setting, bears label inscribed "Pike Taken by D H Reynolds August 1923 Wgt 15 lbs 9 oz", within a bow fronted three sided glazed display case CONDITION REPORTS Painted eye, Caudal fin with slight cracking. Paint off the body just below dorsal fin. Pin hole above pectoral fin. Paper label foxed ripped and torn. Case with various scratches nibbles and chips.
A stuffed and mounted Thames Trout, in naturalistic setting, within a bow fronted three sided glazed display case, inscribed "Thames Trout 5 lbs 12 oz Caught at Radcot by T/SGT. R. H. Burneson, USAF, 3rd May 1952", bears label inside inscribed "Preserved by J. Cooper & Son 78 Bath Road Hounslow Midex" CONDITION REPORTS Case is 73cm long approx x 17cm deep at widest, x 34cm high. Case appears to have been reconditioned. The outside has some areas of peeling and crazing to paintwork. There are tacks/screws coming through the top of the case. General wear and tear.
A stuffed and mounted Thames Trout, in naturalistic setting, within a bow fronted three sided glazed display case, inscribed to front "Thames Trout 9 lbs 8 oz Caught by Joe Stallard June 3rd 1963 R A Club" CONDITION REPORTS A few small holes out of fins and small missing sections. Slight scale raising to the body. Case with some small scratches and chips.
A stuffed and mounted Thames Trout, in naturalistic setting, within a bow fronted three sided glazed display case, bears label inside inscribed "Thames Trout 7 lbs 7 oz Caught at Radcot Weir with dace bait by Mr R Belcher 12th August 1958" CONDITION REPORTS Case approx 80cm long, 17.5cm deep, 34 cm high. The right panel is broken. Case appears to have been reconditioned inside. The paintwork to the fishes head has run, the fin to back appears quite lumpy - see images. There are screws and tack marks to the inside of the case. The outside of case has some losses to paintwork and some crazing, generally has wear and tear.
