A late Victorian / Early 20 th Century bedroom suite; mahogany with boxwood and ebony lined inlay and comprising a wardrobe with central door and full length bevelled mirror. Two drawers below and standing on bracket feet. The interior with hanging rails. A dressing table fitted two long drawers and two short with swivel mirror back, trinket shelf and two trinket drawers (back Af) and a wash stand with two panelled doors to base and marble splash back.(3)

The base fitted with central open recess with draw above and cupboards to either side; with hammered coppered pull handles. The doors inlaid with stylised tree each containing two birds; the back with stylised tree and floral motifs. 152 cm x 56 cm x 182 cm approx.

A circular wooden trinket box commemorating the Battle of Trafalgar and with two circular bands of engraved metal to the lid with extensive engraving stating that the box was made from an original timber of HMS Phoebe and listing the various ships of war she captured. With a brass interior and engraving, ’Presented to the Royal Naval Club by Captn. Richd. Meredith R.N. who served his time as Midn. In HMS Phoebe’ and date 20th September 1842. A few minor faults and a crack in the wooden base. G
