A George V silver pot-pourri, of elaborate shape with three curved legs with hoof feet and ram's head terminals, bowl rim with foliate cast design and removable pierced cover with central ball finial, hallmarked by Henry Matthews, Birmingham, 1914, approx. 11.7cm high, together with an Edwardian silver trinket box, on cabriole style legs with foliate designed edging, hinged cover opening to reveal gilt interior, hallmarked by Walker & Hall, Chester, 1906, approx. 5.2cm high x 7.4cm wide. (2) Weight: approx. 213.8 grams (6.8ozt) Further details: trinket box stands okay but back legs slightly misshapen; very minor loss to gilding and surface scratching. Pot-Pourri stable and good condition, only light scratching and tarnishing, overall general wear to both.

A late Victorian silver long octagonal snuff box, having embossed figures and countryside designed hinged cover, with gilt interior, hallmarked by Henry Matthews, Birmingham, 1900, approx. 10.3cm wide, together with a George V silver trinket box, with hinged cover and on three splayed feet, leather based and felt lined, hallmarked Birmingham, 1921, approx. 5.3cm high x 7cm wide. (2) Weighable silver: approx. 56.5 grams (1.8ozt) Further details: dents to all sides of Henry Matthews box; hallmarks rubbed; minor loss to gilding; trinket box with dents and scratching; both tarnished and have general wear.

Limoges, France and Halcyon Days, England. Group of six porcelain pill or trinket boxes in the shape of foods or serving ware. All marked along the interior or underside. Two Halcyon Days boxes in the shape of a pear and an apple. Four Limoges boxes: one in the shape of a tropical drink; one pineapple; one kettle; and one Easter egg.Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Height ranges from 2 in to 4 in; diameter ranges from 1 in to 2 in.Condition: There are no visible cracks, chips, or losses to any of the boxes. Light wear throughout each consistent with age and use. The top/lid of the apple box is detached from the metal rim. Along the interior top of the pear there is a small metal fitting that has come detached but is included. The tea kettle lid is broken and is missing one metal loop that would attach it to the rim; it is partially attached but comes off easily.

A box containing a small collection of Royal Worcester porcelain wares to include a pair of rose decorated and gilt teacups and saucers, coffee can saucer, signed "M Hunt", two circular trinket dishes and a trinket box, a model shell No'd. 716 to base, a turtle with green mark to base, together with a Royal Ivory Porcelain model tambourine, No'd. 872, etc. CONDITION REPORTS One cup has heavy crazing and has a dull ring. Gilding on all pieces has scratches throughout. All in need of a good clean. Some light surface scratching. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail.
