A Noritake hand painted teaset, painted with roses and other flowers on a white ground, comprising two cake plates, eight plates, seven saucers, eleven cups, milk jug, sugar bowl, and two small gilded square trinket pot and covers (30) Condition Report: Two cake plates in nice condition, one has a pin head pit and the other a slight glaze deformation. . eight plates & seven saucers. No chips or cracks however there is rubbing to the glaze and some decoration where the shape of the piece has ridges. eleven cups - 3 cracked,other ok. All rubbed gilt to handles. milk jug - ok. sugar bowl- ok. and two small gilded square trinket pot and covers - ok.
A French trinket box of oval form painted with a courting couple, with crossed arrow mark to base, 8cm long, a Sevres trinket box, a continental casket and a box modelled as a book with gilt metal mounts (4) Condition Report: Oval box - Crack to lid in the area above the mans shoulder. Gilt rubbed to base rim. Sevres - lid cracked and restuck, crack to the base also. Casket - metal mounts bent. Casket intact but gilt rubbed. Book - Heavily restored all over. Looks like it has been a kit of bits in the past and put back together.
An Edwardian silver cigarette box of plain rectangular form (by William Neal, Chester 1908), 14 cm long, together with a silver topped cut glass dressing table jar, 10 cm high and a modern silver trinket box of plain circular form (by David R Mills, 1982), 5.7 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, knocks and dents mainly to the sides and the corners of the cigarette box. There is old polish residue left between the box and the lid also within the hinges. Some tarnishing to the inside of the lid together with some accretions. Scratches, discoloration and some staining and accretions to the wooden lining of the cigarette box. No inscription but is engraved with an armorial to the top of the dressing table jar. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for details.
