Limoges, France and Halcyon Days, England. Group of six porcelain pill or trinket boxes in the shape of foods or serving ware. All marked along the interior or underside. Two Halcyon Days boxes in the shape of a pear and an apple. Four Limoges boxes: one in the shape of a tropical drink; one pineapple; one kettle; and one Easter egg.Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Height ranges from 2 in to 4 in; diameter ranges from 1 in to 2 in.Condition: All boxes have no visible cracks, chips, or losses. Light wear throughout each consistent with age and use. The top/lid of the apple box is detached from the metal rim. Along the interior top of the pear there is a small metal fitting that has come detached but is included. The tea kettle lid is broken and is missing one metal loop that would attach it to the rim; it is partially attached but comes off easily.
Limoges, France. Group of seven porcelain trinket or pill boxes and one figurine. All seven boxes are marked along the underside or interior. The figure riding an alligator is not marked. The boxes include: an umbrella stand with a removable umbrella; a dial phone; a Christmas tree; a Statue of Liberty; an urn sitting atop a wrapped box; a charbroil grill; and a suitcase with a removable paint pallet and a small metal easel or stand.Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Height ranges from 2 in to 4 3/4 in; width ranges from 3/4 in to 5 in; depth ranges from 3/4 to 2 3/4 in.Condition: All boxes latch and close. All boxes show signs of light wear throughout consistent with age and use. The umbrella has a large chip at the tip which is missing. The metal chain connecting the phone to the phone base has come detached.

The box shaped like a bag does not clasp shut. The heart-shaped box has a large network of cracks along the front with small losses. The cracks spiderwebs out in four directions that run the length of the front. The box does not clasp shut.
