The inside cover designed in leather with label by Joseph Marples, exterior having brass escutcheon and two single drawers with brass handles, inside more medicines or specimens in bottles etc. Box overall approx. 28.4cm wide x 18.2cm high x 20cm deep. Further details: some splitting to burr walnut top, slight impact damage, wear and scratching etc, inside generally good as later made-up into medicine box, most likely originally a trinket / writing box.
