Royal Vienna hand-painted trinket dish, square form with raised pierced rim, the centre field painted with a Classical scene of a man rescuing a slain maiden in a landscape, enclosed by maroon border with raised paste gilt design, blue beehive mark, profession restoration, 17cm square.Condition report:The lower left hand quarter of the pierced rim has been restored, possibly rebuilt. The restoration is beginning to age and there is a slight colour difference in the white ground to the original white porcelain body elsewhere. The rim has been regilt, evident to the interior and exterior. There are two pock marks/ holes to the underside of the base which do not travel through the body all the way and so are not evident to the painted surface.
