A Halcyon Days enamel trinket box, to mark the transfer of Hong Kong to China dated 1st July 1997 and No'd. 655 to base, together with a Halcyon Days globe bottle / jar in celebration of the new millenium with quote from Tennyson to base "Let The Great World Spin Forever" CONDITION REPORTS Both pieces appear to be in good condition through out. It should be noted that on the globe there is some slight glue residue to the copper screw and it is slightly off center though the screw fixing appears to work well enough suggesting that this is part of the orginal manufacture

A fine quality 19th century porcelain boat-shaped trinket dish hand-gilded and decorated with various floral springs, raised on four claw-and-ball-style feet (22.5cm)The Auctioneers states that there is maker's mark that can be seen (please see images of underside) it is noted that some of the gilding is wearing around the edge of the top of the border, the painting of the various flower heads and sprigs inside the boat-shaped vessel appear to be good. There is minor discolouration, minor scratching to the inside of the boat. Outside decoration in enamels of the various floral sprays and sprigs etc. are very good and the underside is also decorated. Upon close inspection there are very minor gilt rubbing to four animal paw style feet although all looks good in terms of condition of the feet and the rest of boat in terms of chips, cracks hairlines or restorations.
