A 19th-century French porcelain, brass and enamel trinket box, of oval form with hinged lid, the cover with a central painted reserve of a mother and her children flanked by two vertical green guilloché lozenges, the body with further enamel decoration between gilt highlighted portraits, all on a purple enamel ground, the interior decorated with handpainted floral sprays, 9 cm wide x 7.5 cm deep x 4 cm high.No structural damage or repair. Guild of Handicraft Ltd: an Arts and Crafts style silver and enamelled trinket box, London 1906, the cover probably by Fleetwood Charles Varley (1863-1942), decorated with trees on a hillside, on four swept feet, 3.5 cm high x 8.5 cm x 5.5 cm, (132g).Structurally sound, with no apparent repair. Lid closes smoothly. Some tarnishing throughout to the silver. Cracks to the enamel.

No obvious signs of damage or restoration.
