HUNGARIAN LEGEND GYULA GROSIC AUTOGRAPHED CARD Signed white card 4 x 3 Inch Gyula Grosics 4 February 1926 – 13 June 2014) was a Hungarian football goalkeeper who played 86 times for the Hungary national football team and was part of the "Golden Team" of the 1950s. Regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, he was thought to be the first goalkeeper to play as the sweeper-keeper. Grosics was nicknamed "Black Panther", because he wore black clothing while playing. He won a gold medal in football at the 1952 Summer Olympics. Ref DC

A rare set of Napoleonic uncut playing cards, hand coloured etching, mounted, glazed and framed, published by Jeu des Drapeaux (Paris), circa 1816, each card 101 by 65mm - these famous playing cards were issued when Emperor Napoleon I returned to France after his brief exile on Elba. The deck commemorates his greatest battles, and the cards illustrate his troops and those of his enemies. Hearts depict the French, spades show English, Scottish and Irish troops. The Germans are diamonds and the Russian soldiers are clubs. The court cards have queens as female figures on the flags, the kings show Generals and their aids and the jacks portray single solders from their respective countries. The aces depict soldiers with cannon(s). The title card (missing from this print) has the names of all the great victories from Ulm to Moscow on the pillar.

Weighing Machine Cards - a piece of highly detailed, mixed media, original artwork for the cigarette card series of Weighing Machine Cards by Mardon, Son and Hall Ltd, 'Association Footballers', believed to be unproduced, depicting a portrait of Gil Merrick. Includes letters from Merrick concerning the use of his photograph for the artwork. Mounted on card, measuring approximately 15 x 21 cm. Artist unknown. Gilbert Harold Merrick (26 January 1922 - 3 February 2010) was an English footballer and manager, considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the UK in the 1950s. Merrick spent his entire career at Birmingham City, playing more than 700 times from 1939 and 1960. He won 23 caps for the English national team and played in the 1954 World Cup.

Mardon, Son & Hall - Cigarette Cards - Playing Cards (Ogden's Tab Cigarettes c1909) - a full set of 52x original proof cards from Mardon, Son & Hall. Spread across two large sheets, the card fronts being displayed along with an original card showing the Tab Cigarettes box art. The set used was likely the earliest off the line, used for final checking before mass printing. Each page measures 42cm x 29cm.

Kellogg Trade Cards - a piece of highly detailed, mixed media, original artwork made for the cigarette / trade card series of International Soccer Stars by Kellogg Ltd, (1963). Depicting the portrait of English footballer Bobby Robson. Mounted on card, measuring approximately 15 x 21 cm. Artist unknown. Sir Robert Robson (18 February 1933 - 31 July 2009) was an English footballer and manager. He spent periods of time playing for and managing the England national team, and being a UEFA Cup-winning manager at Ipswich Town. He is known to be one of the best English football managers of all time and was created a Knight Bachelor in 2002 as well as being inducted in the English Football Wall of Fame in 2003.
Churchman's (W.A & A.C), Cigarettes - Stars Of Variety (unproduced series c1946) - Original Artwork - Lupino Lane - an original painted artwork, completed by artists at Mardon, Son & Hall for production of the cigarette card series. Artwork size: 10x5.5", approx. Henry William George Lupino (1892 – 1959) professionally Lupino Lane, was an English actor and theatre manager, and a member of the famous Lupino family, which eventually included his cousin, the screenwriter/director/actress Ida Lupino. Lane started out as a child performer, known as 'Little Nipper', and went on to appear in a wide range of theatrical, music hall and film performances. Increasingly celebrated for his silent comedy short subjects, he is best known in the United Kingdom for playing Bill Snibson in the play and film Me and My Girl, which popularized the song and dance routine "The Lambeth Walk".

Tennis Legend Fred Perry signed card fixed to autograph album page. Frederick John Perry (18 May 1909 - 2 February 1995) was a British tennis and table tennis player and former world No. 1 from England who won 10 Majors including eight Grand Slam tournaments and two Pro Slams single titles, as well as six Major doubles titles. Perry won three consecutive Wimbledon Championships from 1934 to 1936 and was World Amateur number one tennis player during those three years. Prior to Andy Murray in 2013, Perry was the last British player to win the men's Wimbledon championship, in 1936, and the last British player to win a men's singles Grand Slam title, until Andy Murray won the 2012 US Open. Perry was the first player to win a Career Grand Slam , winning all four singles titles, which he completed at the age of 26 at the 1935 French Championships. He remains the only British player ever to achieve this. Perry's first love was table tennis and he was World Champion in 1929. He began playing tennis aged 14 and his tennis career at 21, when in 1930 an LTA committee chose him to join a four-man team to tour the United States. Good condition.
