A Harpe Harmonique burr walnut and inlaid cylinder music box, late 19th century, the 13" cylinder playing six airs, the titles hand written on a card to the underside of the hinged lid, the card and movement numbered 3622, the movement with engraved silvered lyre, the case embellished with crossbanding, stringing and inlaid stars. 57cm

Payment to the famous 17th musician Thomas Blagrave [Charles II] Autograph the Marquis of Danby treasury warrant signed Danby dated Wallingford House May 14th 1677^ ordering payment of £40/9/2 to Thomas Blagrave one of his Maties musitians... 1p large folio^ some age dusting and an old tear cutting through a few of the words of the document but not affecting signature^ some fraying at original folds. Laid to a larger card album sheet. An important document in the history of music. Blagrave (1613-1688) was a musician (on the cornet) and composer who became a Royal musician in 1638^ playing for Charles Is sagbutts and hautboyes. He then went on to play for Oliver Cromwell and then finally for Charles II at the Restoration. He is mentioned in Pepys Diary.

It is not known whether or not the card games etc are complete.

Signed ('Amy x') to the inside by Winehouse with two lengthy inscriptions, in bold red and black inks, in part, 'Blake - my darling, my handsome other half who never fails to floor me, so humbled my heart in desperate wait for the man who chills my bones + boils the blood in my big bleeding heart. Your wife, mermaid + partner in crimes of the heart. your Gem, your Amy x'….'Oh my husband, there will be a day when we will realise that there will be another YOU….' Winehouse has further illustrated the card with eleven red and black bordered hearts. Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Winehouse to her husband Blake Civil at HMP Edmunds Hill in Newmarket, Suffolk and bearing three Saint Lucia postage stamps, post marked 24th February 2009.
