Tom Graveney signed white card. 16 June 1927 - 3 November 2015 was an English cricketer, representing his country in 79 Test matches and scoring over 4,800 runs. In a career lasting from 1948 to 1972, he became the 15th player to score one hundred first-class centuries; he was the first batsman beginning his career after the Second World War to reach this milestone. He played for Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, and helped Worcestershire win the county championship for the first time in their history. His achievements for England after being recalled in 1966 have been described as the stuff of legend. Graveney was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1953, captained England on one occasion and was awarded the OBE while still playing. Good condition. BEATLES THE: A rare, early vintage signed and inscribed candid 5 x 3.5 photograph by three members of The Beatles individually, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, the image depicting an early line-up of the band, featuring Pete Best playing drums, performing together on a stage, with the heads of several female onlookers in the foreground. Signed in blue ink to the verso by John Lennon ('To Pam, love John Lennon x'), Paul McCartney ('To Pam, love Paul McCartney xxx') and George Harrison ('To Pam from George Harrison xxx'). Together with Pete Best (1941- ) English Musician, the original drummer with The Beatles 1960-62. Black ink signature, 'Best wishes from Pete Best', on an oblong 12mo card. Some light overall creasing to the signed photograph and with a small area of scuffing to the verso, not affecting the signatures. G to about VG, 2

A late 19th century Indian papier mache gaming box, black lacquer with gilt floral urn and basket decoration within trellis spandrels, the fitted interior with two open trays, four rectangular lidded boxes, a large box, six playing card trays with gilt and polychrome decoration depicting the Jack, King, Queen, nine of diamonds, ace of diamonds and one with overlapping circles, the base section with gilt foliate swag decoration, the boxes containing a fine collection of mother of pearl counters bearing the original owner's initials, 13 x 9¾in. (33 x 24.75cm.), also containing an ivory geometric puzzle, vegetable ivory cup and ball with treen handle and spillikins. * Provenance: Made in India for Dr. Stephen Mathews of Goudhurst, Kent, a physician to the East India Company, the counters bearing his initials.

An incredibly rare original Batman lithograph print signed by Batman co-creator Bob Kane. Limited edition to just 300, and this being No. 20. Signed in pencil to the lower margin by Bob Kane. The print in the form of a Joker playing card, depicting The Joker controlling Batman & Robin as puppets. Professionally framed and glazed in Tru-Vue conservation glass and mounted in a green mount. Rare 1923 Combined England & Wales v Scotland and Ireland rugby programme & ticket - played at Rugby School on 1st November commemorating the centenary of rugby football 1823-1923 - programme comprises a single fold card with team details together with original match ticket (G) (2) Note As 1923 approached, there were discussions of a combined England and Wales XV playing a Scottish-Irish team in celebration of when William Webb Ellis picked up the football and ran with it in 1823. The planned game was controversial in that there was a disagreement over whether it should be held at Rugby School, or be played at Twickenham, where an obviously larger crowd could witness the match. In the end, the match was taken to Rugby School.

A large Swiss musical box playing eight airs on a 92 note comb, cylinder length 32cm. The lever action wound autochange movement is in excellent order, having been overhauled a few years ago, the only very minor defect we can see is the absence of the tune indicator pointer. The trade card, logo J B on a butterfly, naming the airs is present but torn, all the tunes clearly readable. The ebonised case has a front name-plate missing, a painted lid decoration lost through polishing and bears minor dents and bruises but an overall desirable patina from use. 66x29x16cm. high.
