M BUONAIUTI "Italian scenery representing the manners, customs and amusements of the different states of Italy", published Edward Orme London 1806, paper board bound with leather spine, together with three various volumes of English and other views with black and white engraved plates, each in marbled board bindings, together with a scrapbook containing various images of Maurice Chevalier, Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, George Arliss, Leslie Fuller, etc. the blue cloth board cover tooled and gilded Marlborough College CONDITION REPORTS English Views - overall with wear, scuffs, some losses to surface of bindings and covers, pages with foxing, dirt and stains, some creases and tattiness to edges, some pages with tears and small losses. Blank pages and interior linings to boards have stains and some sellotape marks. The last four smaller black and white illustrations are stuck onto plain paper which is bound into the book. Some of the larger plates/illustrations are also stuck onto plain pages rather than bound directly into the book. There are 25 pages containing printed plates. Italian Scenery - bindings and covers in very poor condition and boards have separated, wear, dirt and stains, tears and scuffs and losses. Pages have heavy wear and tattiness to edges. Most of the pages have separated from the binding, stains, foxing, dirt. An Edwardian walnut envelope card table the boxwood strung four section top opening to reveal a baize playing surface and four counter wells, over a single frieze drawer, raised on ring turned tapered supports united by an x-stretcher with square undertier, on turned peg feet with brass and china casters, 21½in. (54.5cm.) square, 29in. (74cm.) high.
