The top inlaid with brass fleur-de-lys to the rounded corners, and scroll-ended stringing to the border, with further stringing enhancing the edges, folding over to display the green baize playing surface. The frieze having a long moulded breakfront panel edged in gilt metal tongue & dart beading, the upswept ends embellished with scrolls of brass inlaid acanthus with small turned roundels applied to the terminals. Standing 36 ins (91 cms) wide on a square tapering column with recessed panel sides edged in decoratively cast beading and a rectangular platform raised on four reeded sabre legs headed by carved palm leaves and terminating on brass lion paw feet and castors.
