Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1812-1852), Designs for a Gothic Revival chimneypiece, a reticulated grille, a casket and a balustraded table, with carving details, pencil, one inscribed `A Pugin Jun`r`, dated `1829 Dec 15th` and watermarked 1829, three sheets (one consisting of two joined sheets) in a single frame, each 19 x 31cm (7 1/2 x 12in). Note: Some of these drawings, which came from a folder inscribed `Sketches by A. W. Pugin Esq`re and appear to date from between 1829 and 1834, may have been connected with Pugin`s early foray into furniture design and manufacture at 12 Hart Street, Covent Garden. Some may also be connected with his 1830/31 commission for Mrs Gough of Perry Hall, Handsworth, Birmingham; similar drawings for that commission can be found in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
