Railwayana - a scarce original Weston, Clevedon & Portishead Railway fully titled station notice / poster board. Featuring the original cast iron title plaque to top, and small rain plank to top. Wooden construction, with chalk board centre. Heading measuring 6cm x 28cm still mounted on its original display board measuring 39cm x 40cm. To the front written in pencil faintly reads 'This board was posted at Clifton Down Station'. Original condition, with some wear from age / use, no restoration. A scarce survivor. The WC&PR was an unusual independent light railway linking three North Somerset coastal towns. First planned in 1884, it opened in 1897 and closed in 1940.
