Mathematics.- Geometry.- Geometry theorical [sic] and practical, manuscript, 162pp., illustrations (some with grey wash) and diagrams, occasional later red ink or pencil notes and calculations, a few ff. torn / torn out with loss of text, short tears, some staining, lightly browned, contemporary vellum, worn with loss of vellum, but holding firm, small 4to, [c.1771].⁂ An attractively produced work. Provenance: 'Henry Pannells book, 1771' (ink inscription to title).
William Lionel Wyllie (1851-1931) - Two drypoint etchings - 'The German Fleet Caged at Scapa Flow', and 'The Fifth Battle Squadron', both signed in pencil lower left, entitled in ink on original labels of Robert Dunthorne (Rembrandt Gallery) verso, 8.5cm x 33cm, in card mounts and black oak frames under glass, (2)Condition report: Both works display foxing, but this appears to be mainly on the reverse of the glass as opposed to the paper - all in original frames and sealed so they have not been removed. We wpould assume that the mojority of m,arkls are therefpore removable but this cannot be guaranteed. Minor scuffing to frames.

He was the son of the author George du Maurier. In 1902 he married the actress Muriel Beaumont with whom he had three daughters: writers Angela du Maurier and Daphne du Maurier, and painter Jeanne du Maurier. In 1904 he originated the dual role of George Darling and Captain Hook in J.M.Barrie’s Peter Pan, at the Duke of York's Theatre, London.Condition report: Some light surface scratches to the card case. Typed note glued to inside silk of the fitted case and light wear all over.

Grand duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia (1882-1960) - still life of roses in a vase upon a small table beside a sunlit window, signed Olga, dated 1922, pencil and watercolour, 7.5" x 5.75" ** The artist was the youngest child of Emperor Alexander III of Russia and younger sister of Emperor Nicholas II. She was raised at the Gatchina outside St. Petersburg. She escaped revolutionary Russia with her second husband and their two sons in February 1920 and joined her mother The Dowager Empress in Denmark, all remained in exile, after The Dowager Empress's death in 1928 Olga and her husband purchased a dairy farm in Ballerup near Copenhagen. She led a simple life raising her two sons working on the farm and painting and during her lifetime painted over two thousand works of art, which provided extra income for both her family and the charitable causes she supported.
