THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO LP (ORIGINAL US MONO COPY - VERVE V-5008). An extremely well preserved/restored hugely scarce original US mono East Coast pressing of one of the most influential albums of all time. The record (Verve 't' label V-5008, east coast pressing with 'Side 1' and 'Side 2' on labels) is in glossy VG+ condition. Showing some light and minor surface hairline marks/scuffs, none of these are ever heavier in nature with absolutely no feelable scratches to mention. With superb clean and sharp labels. Matrix/runout: V 5008 SIDE 1 MG 558 REV 1 (indecipherable possibly 5) 'S' block logo & V 5008 SIDE 2 MG 559 (indecipherable). Housed with the original company inner in clean Ex condition. The original gatefold sleeve with uncensored Emerson torso is in VG+ condition. Please note that whilst the 'integrity' of the sleeve is superb, the banana is a high quality replica. As mentioned, the integrity of the sleeve is very strong with only very minor discolouration - there is some clear tape along the top edge appearing to have been repaired over a seam split and some possible restoration also noted on the reverse that has clearly been professionally done. A must have for any devoted fan.
