A Vic 1827 pattern rifle officer's sword, very slightly curved blade 32.5", by Wilkinson, no 23499 (1880), marked Patent Solid Hilt, (faint), and etched with crowned VR cypher within scrolled panels and "JGR from MG" with crest in vignette, regulation steel hilt, the guard incorporating crowned strung bugle, ribbed and chequered wooden grip, in its steel scabbard. A William and Mary trefid spoon,+ with a ribbed rattail, pricked 'OC' over 'MG' over '1692' makers mark only, struck thrice on the back of the stem (and C in cajoined circles)* unascribed probably Exeter 8in (20.5cm) 1.5oz region c.1692.*This mark appears to be that of Thomas Clark of Exeter, over sticking another Exeter mark.
