A Vic 1827 pattern rifle officer's sword, very slightly curved blade 32.5", by Wilkinson, no 23499 (1880), marked Patent Solid Hilt, (faint), and etched with crowned VR cypher within scrolled panels and "JGR from MG" with crest in vignette, regulation steel hilt, the guard incorporating crowned strung bugle, ribbed and chequered wooden grip, in its steel scabbard. Basically GC (blade worn, hilt a little loose)
