* William III. Portrait Exemplification of Recovery document, made in ninth year of his reign [1697], recording the demands made by Rushoul(?) Cullen, bart, and Thomas Westrowe, esquire against Francis Heyes, gent, and Thomas Rowe, gent, for the annual rents from Manors, Rectories, etc, in Lancashire, with large initial letter portrait of the King, elaborate top decorated border showing mythical creatures, Royal coat of arms, etc, the document is complete with a near perfect example of the Great Chancery seal of William III, showing a particularly clear and fine impression of his seal, with a detailed translation detailing each manor, rectory and its rents. CIRCLE OF THOMAS HICKEY A portrait of a gentleman wearing a powdered wig, a dark coat, a red waistcoat and a white stock, half-length, oval, oil on panel, 11.5" x 9", in the original giltwood and gesso frame with a beaded inner border. According to the family the sitter depicts Morgan Rice, Esq. Lord of the Manor of Tooting, Graveney (1720-1794) and High Sheriff of Surrey, 1772. The reverse of the panel is inscribed in pencil "Mrs Rice".
English School circa 1790. Miniature portraits of The Reverend and Mrs Charles Fiennes-Clinton, each head and shoulders, she with long dark hair tied high wearing a pink satin dress, he with powdered hair wearing a black coat and stock, each oval, 4.3cm. both in chased and foliate moulded gold frames, one mounted as a brooch, the other as a bracelet with plaited hair band, in a leather presentation case.
