A sage green woman's coat, dating from the mid 1940s with brown faux fur collar and turnback cuffs, double breasted and fastened with decorative brown buttons, interesting cut especially at the back with box pleats into waistline and curved seams over hips finished with button detail and non-detachable belt, lined in deep burgundy fabric with original label in neck reads 'Cardex Models' (1)
A late 19th century house boys coat from India during the Raj (1858-1947). Embroidered in delicate tambour work in scrolling floral and leaf pattern in silk threads of blues, greens, yellows, and browns on a beige fabric woven with metallic thread, the edging is finished with a metal wrapped cording in a scalloped pattern, the back has been cut-out and removed completely. together with another piece of the same period, in navy blue and pink/red silk dress, decorated and embellished with fine tambour embroidery and mirror applique. All hand stitched and intricately worked. (2)
A 1936 dark brown woolen ladies coat with brown rabbit fur collar, fully lined, slim silhouette shape and fastens on the left with a large covered button. Good condition, hem needs repair. Client's mother wore the coat to the launch of the Queen Mary ship in 1936.Together with a 1930s fox stole and a late 1920s black chiffon and velvet elegant short cape, trimmed with black rabbit fur and also a 20th century Chinese silk embroidered long pocket.
