Five pieces of Wedgwood Jasperware, early 20th century, comprising a large water jug, two hot water jugs, sucrier and sugar bowl and an Adams Jasperware teapot, all with classical sprigged figural decoration beneath fruiting vines on anthemion bands, all with impressed marks, tallest 18 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The large jug has a tiny flea bite nibble on the left side of the spout rim but is in otherwise good condition. The jug with the hinged lid has a small chip to the rim of the spout but is otherwise in good order. The jug with the pivoting lid appears to be in good order throughout. The sugar bowl is in good order. The sucriere has a very small chip to the interior rim of the base but otherwise is in good order. The Adams teapot has a tiny chip to the underside rim of the spout but otherwise is in good decorative order.

Lot 752

A English porcelain part tea and coffee service, circa 1870, with printed and handpainted floral spray decoration, with beige border heightened with gilding, Pattern No. 9106, comprising two sandwich plates, dessert plate, 11 saucers, 11 tea cups, 8 coffee cups, a sucrier and 2 covers, slop bowl and milk jug, inscribed Pattern No. 2/9106 (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Of the eight coffee cups, one has a large L shape crack running from the rim to the base of the bowl, another cup has a small exterior rim chip. Six coffee cups are in good order, all gilding and decorations are good on the interior. There is very light rubbing to some cups on the gilding decorating the exterior of the bowl. Of the eleven teacups, eight are in good order with no obvious faults. One teacup although in good order with no obvious faults does have some kiln dirt in the interior centre of the bowl but no further post production faults. A further teacup has a 1 cm firing crack which is glazed on the rim. A further teacup has a hairline crack running across one strand of the handle. Gilding and enamels are all good. The milk jug is in good order with no obvious faults. The sucrier at first look appears to be in good order, however under close inspection there is a very fine hairline crack approximately 1.5 cm in length on the rim just above the handle, however, this does not seem to have increased in length for some time and has some very light brown staining, otherwise there are no further faults. The spare lid is in good order with no obvious faults. The sugar bowl has become detached from its pedestal at some point and has been glued back on, but no further cracks, chips etc. All saucers appear to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks or restorations, there is however some very light gilt rubbing to the rims but not on all. The sandwich plate and single plates are in good order with no obvious faults. No obvious crazing evident. The floral decoration has a printed outline then the petals are hand painted in enamels.
