Marqué à la vignette en rouge : M. Imple de Sevres 10, en vert : 24, en brun : M 27 Aout, en creux : DC 7. Époque Empire, année 1810 Hauteur : 11,4 cm Le couvercle manquant Provenance : Livré à l’Impératrice Joséphine le 31 octobre 1811. Ce pot à sucre nommé pot à sucre étrusque cannelé faisait partie du cabaret à thé égyptien entré au magasin de vente de la manufacture de Sèvres le 5 décembre 1810 et livré à l’Impératrice Joséphine le 31 octobre 1811.Il comprenait dix huit tasses à thé forme étrusque Denon (pour 1 296 francs, ), un sucrier égyptien trépied (pour 180 francs), une théière étrusque Denon (pour150 francs), une jatte égyptienne (pour 150 francs), un pot à crème tréflé (pour 48 francs), un pot à lait étrusque à bec (pour 80 francs) et un pot à sucre cannelé(pour 80 francs). La théière et neuf tasses et soucoupes de ce cabaret sont aujourd’hui conservées à la Fondation Napoléon (voir Bernard Chevallier, catalogue de l’exposition, Trésors de la Fondation Napoléon, 2005, n° 80, p. 100 101). Les vues de Louxsor et des ruines de Chnubis ont pour source les gravures de l’ouvrage de Dominique Vivant Denon, Voyage dans la Basse et la Haute Egypte, publié en 1802. A GEORGE IV SILVER THREE PIECE TEASET, comprising teapot, two handled sucrier and cream jug of squat circular form, repousse decorated with large flowers and foliage and gilded to the interior, the teapot having hinged cover and flower finial. By William Bateman, London 1825. Together with a matched coffee pot of baluster form similarly decorated with repousse and applied flowers. Makers mark indistinct, London 1828. Large Minton composite service decorated with Dynasty pattern, half of the service bears a monogram. mostly seconds. Please see website for full listing of this service. Half this service bears monograms and is not marked as seconds however they may still have imperfections. The items that are not monogrammed are clearly marked as seconds. The faults that cause these to be seconds are mainly due to gilt imperfections and are often only small gilt smudges and not too defacing.
