• The Property of a LadyA Sèvres Porcelain Sucrier and Cover and Tray (Plateau Carré à Joure), painted by Louis-Jean Thevenet, date marks for 1760, the sucrier of ogee form with foliate finial, the rectangular tray with pierced scroll and flowerhead border, each painted with swags of summer flowers suspended from lattice and scrollwork panels, painted marks in blue25cm wide, later gilt metal-mounted as an inkstandSucrier knop restored with some over spray spreading to the cover, now yellowed. Base free from cracks and repair. Some gilt loss, 9cm high Tray with repair to one corner. Firing flaws and cracks, particularly to border. Neither piece appears to have been drilled. The sucriers mounts are bonded with adhesive. The tray mount loose.
