A 19th century ceramic tea service hand-gilded and decorated in enamels with various floral sprays comprising:a teapot and cover;a two-handled sugar bowl and cover;a cream jug;a slop bowl;2 cake plates (26 cm wide) and10 cups and saucers.Condition Report: Two cake plates - gilding and enamelling is good and of fine quality. Only minor surface scratching, some pinhead-sized brown blemishes to undersides, both in good order. The slop bowl - similarly good gilding and enamelling but a 6cm hairline running from the inside of the circular foot visible from the underside. Two-handled sucrier - badly hair lined in a circular pattern to the inside, also showing to the outside. Gilding and decoration is good. Handles appear OK and there is a chip to the top.Saucers - kiln grit to the underside, minor scratching visible at close quarters, generally gilding and enamelling. One saucer noted with a hairline, another with minor spotting, 6th saucer no problems, 7th same. All saucers dirty and dusty. One saucer with gilt rubbing.Cream jug - good order overall, small chip to top edge.Teapot - 4cm hairline emanating from the inside of the lip into the main body. Handle has the thumbpiece broken away and there is a chip to the underside of the teapot lip. The spout is damaged. Underside looks OKTen cups - 7 appear good, one has a hairline crack and two have chips to rim.
A Victorian blue and white and gilt decorated tea set comprising teapot, sucrier, milk jug, slop bowl, two rectangular plates, twelve large cups, twelve small cups, twelve saucers, six small plates and teapot stand, bearing old auction labels "Sotheby's 6 Mar 1990 312/51", together with two sets of four 19th Century Continental green and gilt banded dessert plates, each decorated with a floral spray / botanical study CONDITION REPORTS Teapot very cracked throughout - see images. Slop bowl, cream jug and sucrier appear basically sound as do the rectangular platters. Saucers appear basically sound. Large cups basically sound with the exception of one with large hairline crack vertically - see image. Small cups basically sound. Six sandwich plates or side plates slightly different in colour i.e. slightly darker owing to the fact that they are later versions of the same pattern by Aynsley with green underglazed printed mark stamped "England" though in good condition - see images for further detail. Otherwise the set has some signs of surface wear and tear and scratching conducive with age and use - see images for further detail

The teapot cover is a little small and is possibly matched. There is some crazing to the sucrier cover.

One coffee cup with a chip and three hairlines. A second coffee cup with slight hairline visible to the underside of the base. Some loss of gilding to several saucers and coffee cup rims and handles. Four of the 18cm plates with particularly heavy rubbing to the decoration, one of which also has a hairline.The small jar and cover on four feet has lost all of the red colour, which is now a dark greyish brown. It also has a restored finial to the cover and a short hairline to the interior rim.No further damages or repairs.

A good silver five piece tea set by Harry Atkins. Comprising spirit kettle, teapot, hot water jug, milk jug and sucrier, of facetted oval section with ebonised finials and handles, Sheffield 1958 and 1967, height of spirit kettle including stand 27cm, weight 106 toz approximately.All in good antique condition. No dents, generally scratched all over. Some hallmarks a little rubbed but still clear. Ebonised finish on the spirit kettle worn.

A George V silver four piece tea service, of oval faceted design, comprising tea kettle on stand with burner, teapot, twin handled sucrier and milk jug, the teapot and kettle with ebonised handles and knop, on shaped scroll feet by Brook & Son, Sheffield 1911 and 1912, teapot 15.5cm high, 90oz overall (4)Good overall, a few minor dings and scratches. Ebonised handle has faded on teapot and ebonised knop is missing. Burner has a different Maker (J.D & S) but no date letter, fits well though. All four pieces have engraved initials K.W to the body.

A George III silver swing handled sucrier, of shaped oval outline, with reeded borders and handle, by Solomon Hougham, London 1794, 15cm wide, another of shaped rectangular form by the same maker, London 1798, and a George III silver cream jug, maker's mark indistinct, London 1809, 14.5oz overall (3)The larger squarer sugar basket is heavily tarnished and has a black, pitted area to the interior. There is a small hole to the edge. Marks are clear to base. 15cm wide. Slightly smaller oval sugar basket is good overall with some patchy tarnish, has engraved monogram to the side. 14.5cm wide. The cream jug is heavily tarnished but appears good otherwise.
