The present painting is a copy in reverse of Rubens's "The Tribute Money" of 1611-1612 now in the San Francisco Museum of Art. Panel has old repairs. Panel has later wooden supports on reverse. One large split across the middle of the panel and several smaller horizontal cracks and splits. Small area of paint loss and flaking. Areas of abrasion to paint layer and scuffs to the varnish. Frame is worn in areas.

Opposite the signed page is a mounted colour photograph of Peter Paul Rubens` painting ""The Holy Family with Saint Francis"", from the Royal Collections. Overall size 21.5 x 44.3cm when opened. Light wear to margins, and a few glue residues stains to front cover, but otherwise in good condition.
