THE ROYAL HUNT CUP, ASCOT, 1948 won by MASTER VOTE (About Maitre-Plebiscite), Owners H. G. & G. Blagrave, Jockey Rae Johnstone. A superb silver gilt two handled cup and cover on ebony plinth. Made in London 1908 by Messrs Hutton. Weight 60ozs engraved one side with the result, the other with a large Royal Crest.

Note a very small chip to the tail of one of the applied trails where it curves under the foot which has been disregarded

Final Concord of the Manor of Thornton Watlass and Barton, 1616, between Talbot Dawes, Tomas Hutton, John Tennens and Anthony Dodsworth and John Dodsworth and Winifred his wife (apparently not executed); together with a Copy of Court Roll of the Manor of Northallerton,1621 or 1622, concerning the admissions of Thomas and Richard Parkinson and John Doighton to property in Knayton, including a recently built [house]; also draft articles of agreement concerning the Manor of Newton?upon?Ouse, 1634; and an unexecuted lease of a house in the West Row, Bedale, 1796, four title deeds, three parchment and one paper, in good condition except the copy of court roll for Northallerton which has been badly damaged by rodents (4)
A North Eastern Railway station lamp case with its original blue lamp glass tablet "WARTHILL". This is the four sloping sides style that fitted into a wall lamp bracket. Four glazed panels (the rear one cracked), original type vessel; brass burner, and glass funnel. 29" tall. Repainted. Warthill station, on the York-Market Weighton line, opened as "Stockton" in 1847; was renamed "Stockton Forest" in 1867; "Stockton-on-Forest" in 1870; "Warthill" in 1872, and closed in 1959. Warthill was the former terminus of the Sand Hutton Light Railway, and the location of Britain's first lifting level crossing barriers on a passenger line.
