A late Victorian silver tea caddy, of octagonal form, William Hutton and Sons, London 1897, engraved with an armorial for the Elliot family, 11cm (measurement with loop up), with a smaller oval tea caddy, Walker and Hall, Sheffield 1905, 8ozt (2) CONDITION REPORT: Octagonal tea caddy - Clean gilt lined interior. Exterior with areas of tarnishing. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible. Crest appears unrubbed. Cover opens happily and closes securely. Surface scratches to the exterior. Some dents visible however despite these being few, the majority appear to be pushed outwards from the interior. Mark to cover with swivel loop has rested over time. See additional images for clarification. Loop 2.2cm wide and leans sightly to the right. Oval example - Gilt lined interior. Initialled to the front. Some dents and blemished visible however when cleaned these would not be overly noticeable. Cover sits happily. Marks slightly worn.
