Group of book safes and boxes comprising three bokk safes, one leather with gilt titles and author, being titled "Adv. of Huckleberry Finn," by Mark Twain. Next is a smaller version with a green paper overlay also marked Twain. Lastly is one being a music box. Two different match holders with one having a Chinese hand carved hardstone carved floral display added to it. The other is leather covered and gilt ruled. Two Victorian storage boxes, one being German made with pins and needles printed on the spine. The other is velvet covered with a Victorian cutout of a flower and friendship on the front and inside a colorful label of two girls with a doll carrier. The last two pieces are a compact and a brass colored storage box with a leopard pattern period plastic material overly. Approximate Dimensions:Size Range: h 2.5" w. 2" to h. 7.25" w. 5".Condition:The safes are all in good shape. The first is in excellent condition with only the spine needing a little glue to reattach where it is just starting to come apart. Edward V (1483), Groat, London, mm. halved sun and rose, reads edvard, fleur on breast cusp, pellet below, 3.03g/2h (B & W XXII.5; N 1631; S 2146). Struck on a compact but full weight flan with a little doubling, otherwise very fine and very rare, light find patina £2,000-£2,600 --- Provenance: Found near Carmarthen, West Wales, in September 2023 Struck from the same obverse die as the Grantley specimen (1458)
