On offer from a private Collection, this Immaculately restored Morris Mini Pick-Up is about as good as you will ever find.Introduced in January 1961, the Mini Pick-Up was based around the same stretched platform as its Panel Van sibling. Similarly exempt from sales tax as a commercial vehicle, it sported a pressed steel grille, sliding windows and external door hinges throughout its 22-year production life. Initially powered by an 848cc four-cylinder, it could be specified with the more powerful 998cc engine from1967 onwards (both A-series units being mated to the same 4-speed manual transmission). Benefiting from a 4"-longer wheelbase, taller rear suspension turrets and underfloor fuel tanks, the Pick-Up/Panel Van derivatives were arguably even more fun to drive than their saloon equivalents. Mini became a standalone brand during October 1969, with parent company, British Leyland, dropping the compact saloon and its derivatives from the Austin and Morris ranges, a change signified by simplified badging and a new logo. The otherwise unchanged Pick-Up could still be had in 850 or 1,000 guises.Dating from 26th February 1962, this pretty little Morris Mini Pick-Up found it's way into the hands of our vendor in January 2011 and underwent a comprehensive and meticulous nut and bolt restoration, leaving no detail overlooked. Now very smartly-presented in Willow Green with black trim, it retains its original 848cc engine and 4-speed gearbox, and can truly be described as excellent in every area, one of the best we have ever seen. Part of our vendor's significant Collection, it's kept safe and dry, regularly maintained, with a small history file including the Heritage Trust Certificate, and used for a bit of fun and the occasional trip to Goodwood. For collectors and enthusiasts alike, 6396 MU presents a golden opportunity to acquire a meticulously restored 1960s classic, offering more than its fair share of nostalgia.SpecificationMake: MORRISModel: MINIYear: 1962Chassis Number: MAV4217735Registration Number: 6396 MUTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 197961 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 6365 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images
A wonderful Lux example wearing its original colours and presented in wonderful condition.Launched at the 1968 International Auto Show in Frankfurt, Germany, the BMW 2002 was a notable model in the company's history, credited with helping to establish BMW's reputation for producing sporty and compact luxury cars. Following the standard 2002’s success, BMW launched the 2002 Tii in 1971, again at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The forward-leaning stance and low waistline along with the large glasshouse provide the 2002 Tii Lux with a purposeful appearance and excellent all-round visibility.Acquired by its current owner in August 2014, this BMW has received meticulous care and attention. Although there is no history file from prior ownership, invoices indicate ongoing maintenance and restoration work carried out over recent years. Notably, the car underwent a repaint between 2016 and 2017, giving it a factory-correct Golf Yellow finish, a testament to the owner's commitment to preserving its authenticity. The car comes with its Owner's Manual, two sets of keys, a spare wheel and the factory jack, making it ready for its next owner to enjoy. **Please note the car has just received its renewed FIA HTP papers which are valid until 2033**Number #103 of 200 homologation specials built, this well-presented, running and driving ex-'Group B' rally car is a glimpse back to the golden era of rallying. The Nissan 240RS was a compact yet powerful machine which left its rightful mark on motorsport history and competed in what was undeniably the golden era of rallying, the utterly bonkers 'Group B'. The car was developed by Nissan’s new motorsport division, Nismo, and powered by their revvy FJ24 2.4-litre inline-four engine producing 240bhp and offering remarkable performance. Combined with its Silvia-based chassis, the 240RS was agile and controllable on all sorts of terrain. Piloted by legendary drivers such as Masahiro Hasemi, the 240RS showcased Nissan's engineering prowess and bolstered their rallying reputation. Although short-lived due to the demise of 'Group B', its impact resonates to this day, earning the 240RS a well-deserved spot in the hearts of rally enthusiasts. It was produced in small numbers, as so many homologation specials were, with approximately 200 cars built between July 1982 and December 1982, 150 left-hand drive and 50 right-hand drive cars. It’s believed that around 30 of these cars in total were then utilised in WRC and domestic rally championships around the world. This right-hand drive car presents in wonderful condition and proudly wears the original rally livery of red, white, and blue. Since our vendor’s purchase in 2021, it's been cherished and used sparingly for a few displays and show runs, never having seen competitive racing action in their ownership. However, despite its pristine appearance, the car is fully operational, running and driving as well as it looks.Chassis #103 on offer here has a fascinating and well-travelled history. It was brought to South Africa by Nissan Motorsport SA as a 'road' car and was originally purchased by the renowned South African-born Nissan/Datsun Factory driver, Koos Roos. During its early days, the car participated in several autocross events on tarmac, then a few gravel events, before eventually being converted into full 'Group B' rally-spec. Whilst in South Africa, the car changed hands a couple of more times before being acquired by Mark Donaldson, who decided to venture beyond borders, shipping the car all the way to Greece before making its way to the UK in 2010, where it caught the attention of our vendor in 2021.The car's history file tells the story of its remarkable past. Among the valuable documentation in the history file is a summary of its previous owners, DVLA correspondence, a Letter of Authenticity issued by the Nissan Motor Company in 2010 confirming its status as one of the 200 units built, and its FIA/HTP papers, which expired in 2019 but are now in the process of being renewed. With such a storied past, a well-documented history, fabulous condition and rarity factor, chassis #103 represents a unique and sought after piece of Japanese rally history, ready to continue its legacy in the hands of its next owner. With most of the 240RS models finding their way into the hands of collectors and enthusiasts, this is a great opportunity to add a seldom-seen surviving participant from the bygone 'Group B' era, a time when rallying reached unparalleled levels of excitement. This 240RS should rightfully capture the attention and admiration of discerning collectors and rally enthusiasts alike.SpecificationMake: NISSANModel: 240RS GROUP BYear: 1983Chassis Number: BS110000103Registration Number: WRD 99YTransmission: ManualEngine Number: FJ24000164Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 1 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Red/WhiteClick here for more details and images
