Tip of left ear fractured. Tip of tail chipped off (approx 2-3mm). The edges of the peach leaves are slightly chipped. One of the bat's ears and its forehead have small chips too.

A Chinese carved and stained ivory figure of a lady, Late Qing Dynasty Beautifully carved from a slender section of curving tusk, the willowy figure gently extending to the right, her facial features sharply carved with arching brows and a long nose, her stained and carved hair rests down her back, and dressed with a lotus tiara, dressed in long flowing robes, her chest adorned with a carved jade pendant, she holds a lotus plant in her right hand and gently removes the leaves, mounted on a later carved wooden stand, on stand 31cm high, figure 27cm high. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Loss/break to the flower stem held in figures left hand, several losses/breaks to the foliage extending from the jardiniere in figure's right hand, cracking to feet, crack to the lower back area of the robe, overall yellowing and discolouration visible throughout, indicative of age, stand possibly later.

Jade disk with some wear and scuffs, and some chips to decoration, some glue deposits, the side with the carved flower decoration has a lot of glue deposits and four partially drilled holes which do not appear to go right the way through the disc, generally with some scratches and scuffs to surface.
