Part of the proceeds from each of the 250 limited edition watches produced went towards the ship's restoration. The Bremont victory was launched at HMS Victory in Portsmouth harbour on 12th July 2012.Crystal: Complete. Guest stars included Frank Zappa, Phil Collins, Julia Roberts and Little Richard.Initially produced on a very low budget, the original props included a ‘fake’ Ferrari and a ‘fake’ Rolex watch, but following the series' overwhelming success, Ferrari happily supplied real cars and the main character, James ‘Sonny’ Crockett, played by Don Johnson, wore an Ebel 1134901, initially with the famous ‘wave’ bracelet, as this example, and later an all gold version with the newer link bracelet.It is said that James Bond made Omega watches ‘cool’ and ‘must have’, and the same could be said for Crockett and Ebel at that time. They went from an almost unknown niche watch brand to one of the most successful watch companies of the 1980s, with 5 factories and 500 employees.
