Roberts, Otley, (fl.c.1760-80). A GEORGE III BRASS-DIALLED 30-HOUR LONG-CASE CLOCK MOVEMENT, the 30.5cm, (12in) square brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a finely-engraved scene of a farmer seated on a haystack with hay fork, a rustic fence behind him, a goat, bird and rabbit also depicted, signed in two shaped panels "Roberts" "Otley 1777", beneath a circular calendar sweep, unusually inscribed anti-clockwise in intervals of five, framing a sunburst motif, all within foliate-cast spandrels, with "skeleton" movement behind (typical of Otley makers such as Roberts and Snow)

A 19th Century Carriage Clock, the enamel dial signed "BOLVILLER A PARIS", with Roman numerals, and centre second sweep, above a subsidiary alarm dial, with Arabic numerals, movement with 1/4 repeat, the platform engraved scrolling acanthus, in a brass four pillar case, with mask, engraved all over with scrolling foliage and acanthus, the back door pierced for winding holes, the back plate stamped "BOLVILLER A PARIS", 407LM, 18 cm.
